I decided to make a poll about the greatest art of all times (for me). Equitation is my passion, Horses are my life... there are many forms of art in the Equitation world, such as Dressage, Gallop Racing, Horseback Bullfighting, Horseball, Polo, Work Equitation, Fox Hunting, and many, many more!

I'd like to ask you not to insult or express anything against Horses here. You may tell your point of view. If you are curious, you may ask whatever you like, since it is not to make fun of the beautiful creature called Horse.

If you ride horses, please tell me in what area do you work (Dressage/Horseball/Racing,...).

    Thanks for visiting!

Hmmm, I see you really love horses. Anyway I've never ridden a horse but I'd love to ride one. Like in the Breaveheart movie ...

lol, in Braveheart, William's friend rides with his hands crossed, lololol. Gibson rides marvelously!

When you first ride a horse, maybe you'll feel fear. If you supress your fear and become one with the Horse, you'll like it. If you remain tense and thinking "What if I fall? I'm gonna fall!", you'll never feel pleasure... If you fall, what's the problem? You won't get pass the ground, that's for sure!

What would be great fun would be riding a Steppe pony, while trying to shoot a compound bow, just like the Mongols.
No, I have never actually ridden a horse.

    Do a "Horse test-drive", lolol.

Joking, mate. I recommend that you wisely spend money on a riding class. It's not wasting money, it's enhancing your culture and view of the world and, who know, discovering a new hobbie/passion!

I'm not very lucky when I fall. I usually break something, a bone or something .

Well, the first time I fell, I was playing Horseball and on full gallop, when my horse suddenly stops and throws me at the ground. I'm dragged by my left foot for 30 meters until someone catches the horse and my foot frees itself. The second I was galloping in circles with hands behind my back (it was an exercise) and the horse turns the other way suddenly, and I fall and roll on the ground, and another horse almost came over me!

I'm not rich, not even close (i'm not poor either), but still I can spend 50 € per month to ride 4 times per month...

I grew up in the sticks and we had a horse so I rode that one a few times. My sister has a horse called Boris, but it looks more like a donkey.

There is no age for riding horses: it's like love, there's no age for it. Anyone who has legs can ride a horse.

Im riding since 13 years, its one of my passions. I never had a horse myself, and those recent years I have much less time to ride with the studies. I hope to have enough time in my professional life to take care of one or two horses. My dream would be to do mounted re-enactment

    Anyone remember this qoute?

    "Ariel, Ookla, ride!"

heheheh... I rode before, would like to in the future possibly adopt a horse when I have the property to do so, but it takes a lot of care and commitment.

Now have you ever jousted? That would be the question for folks here
