How to play being Roman (or whatever) and have the possibility to have all the units from all the factions
Here it is my question:
I spent 10 days in order to search for the appropiate answer.Looks like nobody has been interested in play being Roman/Goth and being able to play using ALL the units from all the FACTIONS.
The question is really simple if you choose a FACTION, you have only the possibility to create (ie using the cheats) your own units.
So how the hell,i can just create/recruit units from other FACTIONS and have the chance to avoid the presentation of that unit with the GREY PEASANT FIGURE?
I think is a HOT TOPIC,I just dont know why nobody has been interested in know about that...

Even though the appropriate cheat gives you a unit, which is not available by your faction, it can't create unit cards for it! You have to do it by yourself using the method posted here:http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=66811

Re: How to play being Roman (or whatever) and have the possibility to have all the units from all the factions
In order to train the units of the other factions you'll have to:
1. Open bi\data\descr_model_battle.txt and find the unit entry you want. Copy the texture and sprite lines of the faction colour you want, paste them in next to the originals and change the faction of those new lines to your faction.
2. Now open bi\data\export_descr_unit.txt and find the corresponding entry there (easiest way is to go to 'file' and 'find' in the text document's taskbar and enter the model name from the DMB.txt) Once you've found the entry add your faction to the ownership line at the bottom.
3. Now open bi\data\export_descr_buildings.txt, copy the unit's line there and paste it under the original for every level of barracks the original was available (using your factions name).
4. Now go to bi\data\ui\unit_info and copy the unit's info file from the original faction's folder to your faction's folder. Do the same for the bi\data\ui\units file.
Unless I've forgotten something you should now be able to train any unit you wish.
