Here just post on the most land you ever invaded, for me was I invaded all of Europe,Northern Africa, Most of Turkey and Russia, but before I could invade evrything my settlements kept revolting and it just got out of my controll.

Playing on H/H I find that my best laid plans for a one-front war along all of Sun Tzu's precepts are repeatedly foiled and set back many years by backstabbing allies

Playing as portagul I established an overseas empire,controlled all of ibera,southern italy,anatollia,the middle east,and the biritsh isles

I was constantly at war with france but 5 units along the mountains kept hte french at bay

meanwhile the french fight hte english remnants at caen and my navy protects me from island invasion while anatollia belongs to me and the rest of byzantines former provinces belong to hungary and venice

My most successful campaign was with the spainish. They have some great positioning to begin with once they take over their peninsula. I took out the moors first and started sweeping across northern Africa towards Egypt. Eventually I jumped on the Portugese because they were excommunicated for whatever reason and I seized all their lands on the peninsula which allowed me to heavily fortify my homeland in Bordeux and Toulouse (sp?).

This freed up my armies for my middle eastern campaign which over time pushed its way all the way up to the turks, then into the Byzintines (omg spelling). I garnished huge papal favor from the slaughtering of muslims so I was pretty much untouchable to other catholics. Eventually I completely took over the papacy by assassinating every opposing cardnial and getting a Spainish pope elected so I began tearing through Europe decimating everything until I reached my middle eastern side of the empire.

I obviously won the game long ago but I kept on playing. The trick was leaving the catholics to their petty wars while I took over land of real value and maintained the love of the pope.
