Lord of the rings mod
Could someone make a lotr mod?
I dont know anything about modding so i cant do it myself.
The factions would be: (the faction that is after the - is the faction you could change to Lotr faction).
Haradrim-Timurids (because they have elephants of course)
Mordor-???
Rhûn-??? (faction that has tough defensive units)
Khand-Denmark (because they have good axemen)
Rohan-Mongols (good cavalry)
Gondor-??? (doesnt really matter what it is)
Elves-England (good archers)
Isengard-???
Maybe Dwarves and possibly hobbits.
And of course the map of Middle-earth as the campaign map.

Re: Lord of the rings mod
I assume you the time period (Middle Earth history) you have in mind for this mod is 3000-3021 Third Age. I predict that something similar to this will be attempted, but it will take a long time to finish, ie a year at least. Why? Because hundreds of units have to be made from scratch, tech trees, character portraits, cities and castles themselves would also have to be re-done, new map would be needed, etc. Unless there is some really determined modder(s) to do this, I don't think we'll ever see it fully completed for M2TW.

Re: Lord of the rings mod
No LotR-mod for M2 will happen as long as it's impossible to modify models. There is my mini-mod, called Númenórean Invasion, though it's kind of playing second fiddle while we continue work on FATW.
