Trouble with onboard USB 2.0
Now I never payed much attention to USB 2.0 until I bought my new 8gb sandisk sansa and it politely informed me I had no 2.0 ports. I found this surprising as I chose a motherboard I knew that would have such ports. I looked up my motherboard and sure enough.
I checked the Asus website and I didn't find any drivers. Can anyone help me with this. I would greatly appreciate it.
My motherboard is a ASUS M2V K8T890.

Re: Trouble with onboard USB 2.0
Do you have the motherboard cd?
My Asus board (SLI Deluxe) had seperate USB drivers IIRC, on the same disc as the chipset drivers, but under utilities or apps or something.
The Asus website is a little bit weird to navigate at times so I would suggest a second look there just to be sure, as anything that came on the motherboard cd is generally on the site to download as well.

Re: Trouble with onboard USB 2.0
I think you have problem with drivers... Just get Service Pack 1 or 2, they install drivers for 2.0 as I can't find 2.0 drivers only for Windows XP.

Also make sure you have enabled the 2.0 ports in BIOS.

Thanks Sir Lancelot, that VIP 2.0 Driver download did the trick.
