    Default Bloodlines?

Hey... first of all, I'd like to say that I really enjoy this mod, and I think it is one of the best for MTW2 that I've seen.

Anyways, one of the things I've always hated about mtw2 is how the default faction heir is not necessarily the 'traditional' faction heir, that is the firstborn male son of the king. To often adopted generals become king when there are several perfectly viable legitimate sons of the king. I know this issue is far from important, and it probably doesn't bother most of you out there, but it really has always gotten on my nerves, and I was hoping that you Long Road people might consider including a fix for it in your next release. Another option, although I doubt this is possible, is go rtw style- allow the player to pick his faction heir.

Any responses or relevant ideas are welcome. Try not to flame

As far as I know this isn't something a modder can modify. It's hardcoded and only CA can change/fix it. Sorry.

I've a fix for this, get the current heir (not of the blood royale) killed in battle by charging him head on against pikemen.

I do that too. Get an heir with horrible traits and send him to his death.

Sometimes they turn out to be obnoxiously difficult to kill. I had one heir to the throne in my Hungary campaign who refused to die. I sent him alone on a single fleet across the Black Sea. I was hoping he'd die in a sea battle with pirates. Nope. The ship was attacked by a fleet of 3 ships. My idiot heir and his admiral managed an heroic victory. Argggh.

OK, I landed him at Caffa and sent him to besiege the town without help. As the siege neared its end, the people of Caffa sallied forth. Apparently, they weren't very brave. A single bodyguard unit for a general who was infertile, lazy, a poor disciplinarian, bad at math and had a foreign fruitcake companion managed to route the entire garrison as they attacked him one at a time. Argggh.

OK, I sacked Caffa and now own a town I don't really want. So I set the taxes very high and sent my useless heir off to attack the town east of there in the Crimea (can't remember the name). This time he finally managed to die, but it was really close. Who'd have thought a foreign fruitcake loving, lazy, infertile idiot would be such an effective solo conqueror?

Actually, if they win enough battles, he becomes a fairly effective general, too bad he is still an adoption. That's why I don't adopt in the first place.

The VnV's keep me immensely entertained. Apparently, if one of your generals survives the plague he is susceptible to a whole line of various nasty diseases. My prince managed to outlive a plague event, only to suddenly develop a very nasty case of warts a few turns later. Another general he'd just adopted when the plague hit also survived but was stricken with flatulence. Must've been pretty loud too. All that flatulence inside a suit of armor. Probably went off like a cannon with echoes. Poor guy, the constant gassiness really lowered his troops' morale.
