I don't really like the "third option", to be honest.

While I can understand the desire to differentiate between modders and debaters (as is currently the case), the third option (citizen) seems rather, well, ambiguous. In my own personal experience I haven't seen too many members of the artifex rank down in the Mudpit, although I'll be the first to admit that what I have witnessed could be an inaccurate reflection of actual circumstances. That being said, I'm not sure there is enough demand for an all-inclusive rank to warrant its creation.

I think this is a great Bill (and an excellent alternative to my own ill-thought-out one). I also far agree with the third option; if Artifex is for modders and Civitate is for debators, what about TW posters who do not mod? What about technical help people? They do not fit into artifex or civitate categories well. What about those who cross over, and there are many? A third option is highly beneficial.

Totally agree, for myself I would go for the third option as I do not view myself as a debator (more a brawler to be honest ) and I certainly aren't a modder. Plus I like both sides of the site and I don't really want to be indelibly linked with one area in particular (other than the Scriptorium which I still see as my little baby all growed up ).

Thinking about it though, peoplewho become citizens for their work in content staff, librarians etc may also prefer the more neutral option.
