From what I can tell, even Republican-aligned media outlets (Fox News, The Federalist, NY Post etc.) don't seem to be taking Trumps 'expansion plans' particularly seriously.

A handful, perhaps. Most MAGAs I have seen simply blame California for being too democrat for failing its citizens and they do not cheer the disaster, they just use it to make a political point.

Next time a hurricane or tornado or flood hits a rural MAGA area Democrats should remember all of the laughter and attempts to block aid by MAGAs before we think about helping them. We should instead make up mean-spirited conspiracies (There was no tornado. The MAGAs just took too much Fentanyl and destroyed their own town in a drug fueled haze)
