Edetani/Barbarian Government Help
I'm new to barbarian factions. After hitting max high-influence penalties for Tribal Confederation I thought I could eventually switch to Chiefdom or Empire at some point. But it appears the penalty will follow me through different government types since its factional?
So do I need to bring my influence waaay down, CAN I bring my influence levels way down, and how do I bring my influence levels down? Am I stuck at "Hated by Tribes" forever with only one other party in my confederation? Currently have 76% influence.
Thanks for any help you can give me!!

Re: Edetani/Barbarian Government Help
Sorry I'm a month out but I believe I can help you. Find wives/husbands for characters in other parties for one. Hire politicians for other parties, really try to boost their head count as this is the most reliable way (and cheapest) to boost their party influence. Next have Generals in other parties take the lead in some battles, this will boost their Gravitas and thus their influence. Lastly, if you highlight your faction leader, you will see that he can bestow gifts on other party figures (and other actions too) that will boost their gravitas/influence. Some of these things will synergize with Governmental stability. So, pick that which is the most economic and effective, experiment and enjoy!
Tribal confederatrions used to be my least favorite type but I've gotten used to them. They can be rough in the early expansion but as long as you watch your dissent levels and have territories to use for party dissent edicts (forget the exact name) you can control them and actually not feel such a crunch to expand your power base.
