I've been revising some of the unit stats as I've been playing this mod, going by my experience in setting unit stats and the in-game description of units. However, I haven't read the books or seen the show, so I wanted to ask if anyone has any input about this subject. Is there a description of Westeros military affairs somewhere? What details should be kept in mind when adjusting the unit stats in this mod? The modders seemed to have a system for classifying units. Did they also have one for calculating stats?

So far, I toned down heavy cavalry lance numbers, reduced general unit attack values, eliminated stakes, fire arrows and AP arrows and bolts. Now I'm looking at dropping crossbow attack values from 10 to 8 and javelins from 13 to 11, as they seem overly powerful currently.

What impressions do long-time players of this mod have of the battles?
