Gaming Staff is now Inactive (dormant, dissolved, etc)
Hello TWC, I come with bittersweet, but probably not surprising news.
Gaming Staff has been quiet for some time, with its branches over the years finding other pastures. Most recently Hotseating has (understandably) found its home largely on discord and forum games haven't had the pull they used to. After consultations, it's been agreed to mark Gaming Staff as inactive and deprecate it until further notice. There have already been changes between December and now including various threads and sections being archived. Gaming Hex as a position is defunct and no departments or active staffers exist any longer.
What is staying: hotseating will not be archived, and unless there's an index reshuffle we don't see much reason to move it. Members are free to solicit games there, start things up, ask question and what have you; the original Hotseating crew are still local moderators and can keep the section tidy. A handful of veterans are retained as Emereti (advisors, as available). Finally, while I don't believe we can offer Modding Awards this year, Member Awards are still on. The Committee for it is still a thing and it will be supported by Hex collectively.
Feedback, questions and suggestions are welcome. A belated happy new year to TWC, and I hope whatever happens going forward that everyone who reads this has an excellent year.
