Will the metaverse replace the real world?

Hey Guys,

Will the metaverse replace the real world where everyone uses the metaverse instead of engaging with the real world and having in person interactions. I'm referring to the metaverse as a whole not Meta's Metaverse.

Or will people still want to engage with the real world and travel either within their own cities or travel overseas regardless of how immersive the metaverse becomes? Maybe the only people who will be interested in this kind of stuff will only be the super rich (millionaires) or tech geeks.

I'm not talking about the near future, in talking about like about 20 years later when AGI comes out and we don't need to work.
