I like bronze. The more color we can add, as long as it's not neon CA colors, the better.
Speaking of which, can we make the Seleucids a bit more colorful? From what I've read, they really made an effort to be a glitzy, colorful army, and the units in RS seem a bit drab...
I agree with Cherryfunk that color is good, but so is variety. As long as a unit has other color, iron is ok. I think a bronze horseman would look awesome anyway. My guess would be they, being nobles, would be more likely to be able to afford it? Iron would've been cheaper?

And I suggest we use the Thracian peltast but reskin for Dacians, it'll save a much needed slot. Can I ask you to send me a modified DMB to allow recruitment of these please? That way I can get the colour balancing right.

Holy Crap that unit looks nice.....the units you wanted from above, are they Barbarian Invasion units, you mean? But sure, I can find them and put them in, then I'll upload. But do I have these units, or you do? And the faction names...what DMB do you want them added to, a BI DMB? They won't work in RTW.
BTW, I have basically taken ALL the BI units and transferred them into RTWv1.5, so I know they will work. So if you find a model you like or want to use in BI, that's easy to do. The animation pack in Roma Surrectum is actually more inclusive than BI's.

This is what I did to get this unit into the battle - I adapted the Sarmisegetusa unit - but obviously it'd be good to keep something in as that one - maybe have these as general's unit or something.

Ok, also, the Roman Cavalry Auxilia uses an overhand.... it' just a mounted Light Auxilia Infantry. Like for instance, you could mount a 'peltast', and presto, you have an overhand...but, you'd have to stop him form throwing it. I'll experiement a little.

BTW, LT1956 uses the 'fs_o_m_spearman' in SPQR.
I'm sure he'd let use use it....ah, never mind, he got them from EB...
As far as that last one, I'll have to guess a little since I can't test it. You may have to tinker.

Easy way to find a unit texture you're looking for:
Look for the name you see in the game in 'export_units.txt'
Use the name in brackets to search for it in 'EDU.txt'
Once you have that, the 'soldier' line will tell you which entry in DMB corresponds with that unit, and what texture\s it uses.
You can, by the way, give a pikeman a 'short_pike' instead of a 'long_pike', or a 'spear' as a weapon in EDU, then mount him as a cavalry unit.

That's what I was thinking and hoping.
As I said I can't seem to find a cavalry unit that uses a phrygian helmet.
I think it'd be good to have one for all Greek factions using this? Do you think? But also for Dacia. This Royal guard would work well.
Have you got time to sort that out for me? Doesn't have to be today, I can carry on working on lesser units for a while.
