In 1448 the Despotate of Serbia was ally of Principality of Cilli.
In 1448 Hungary was not Cilli's enemy.

This is lots of good material wish I had the time to read that thesis.
About the war, weren't the Cillis the enemies of Hunyadi? So not necessarily the Hungarian state but in our mod Hungary is led by Hunyadi regency and Hunyadi had just pillaged through Cilli territory in 1446.
Yes they were at war in 1446, but in 1447 Hunyadi recognized the authority of Cilli in Slavonia and, with the intervention of the Pope, made peace with him so that he would not pose a threat while he was leading a campaign against the Ottomans in 1448.

Cilli possessions in1456. The situation was probably very similar in 1448.

Interesting. So Zagreb was held by Cilli?
They already start with Zagreb. The problem is showing all their other possessions like in Carinthia. The Habsurgs held Ljubljana so the entire region belongs to them. It's one of the M2 limitations. They also had territories in southern Croatia/northern Bosnia
How many noble houses will belong to this faction?
Will the Garai house belong to the Cilli faction as a noble house, or will only László Garai been a strat map character?
(I'm hungarian. My english is not so good. Sorry.)
The entire Garai family was added into the main tree
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
And also this family

There were also strong ties between the counts of Cilli and counts of Gorizia but they are still part of the Austrian faction which is probably not accurate for 1448.
Ulrich II desires for possessions during his lifetime:
Domination of Slavonia, Croatia, Bosnia, Austria, Hungary, Bohemia. Its much, but maybe appropriate for the faction's expansionism campaign goals.
The Slovenian National Museum made a reconstruction of Ulrik face after his skull https://imgur.com/fKE7yWU
Count Friedrich II starting age is 55y old, and his son, Prince Ulrich II age 42. So it seem Ulrich II birth when his father 13 years old. Its not seem appropriate. After my sources Friedrich II birt in 1379, and he was 27 when birth his son, and 69y old in 1448.
Currently Count Friedrich II the faction heir. Why not his sucessor, Ulrich II?

Some more historical traits for Jan Vitovec: violent, unjust, unpopular, talented besieger. This was his CoA https://imgur.com/6841Akb
Benedek Zolyomi - bishop In 1445, the Cillis appointed him bishop of Zagreb with the consent of the Pope. Bishop of Knin from 1447-1454.
Traits: about 50 years old in 1448, hungarian, eloquent
Cilli's familiares in Slavonia in 1448:
Gyorgy Pyers - Ispan of Varasd county
Gyogy Glaynar - Ispan of Zagrab county
Benedek Turoci - Ispan of Koros county
Gaspar Kasztellanfy de Szentleleki - another Ispan of Koros county
Sigismund Siebreicher - probably german
Andreas Kreyger - probably german
Frederick Lamberger - probably german, castellan of Csaktornya
-------------------------------------------
Should rename the Zrinyi-kastely PSF to Csaktornya which was the hungarian medieval name. The Zrinyi-kastely name first appear in 1546 when the Zrinyi family got the castle.

Usually characters start dying of old age when they reach their 60s so the ages of some of the older starting characters have been adjusted to fit this. Frederick having his actual age at the start would mean he would die in the first few turns but he lived till 1454 so I adjusted his age to reflect that, along with some other older characters.
I felt having Ulrich rather than Frederich as faction leader would be more accurate. They both held the Princely rank but Ulrich was the de facto head of the house:
In contrast to his activity until 1435, Frederick left active politics in the period from 1435 until his death in 1454 to his son Ulrik. He devoted himself mainly to the establishment of monasteries (he founded the New Monastery in Polzela and Einzersdorf in Austria [29]) and the management of the estates of Celje
Thanks for the additional character info. Will add the bishop but not all the familiares, the faction already has enough characters for its size. Maybe one or two and make make some others agents. Will change the psf name

It all sounds great, but it also sounds like a Hungarian puppet, whereas the counts were princes of empire and lent to empire and later to House of Austria.
Indeed they fought against Hungarian barons who opposed Sigizmund
In the Middle Ages, the ispan of Pest county was the palatine and the vicepalatine. Pál Perneszy was vicepalatine from 1447 to 1460. He was palatine László Garai's main familiaris and most loyal confidant. In 1448, he was about 39 years old and came from southwestern Hungary. I think he is acceptable as starting character in 1448.
