Ottoman Events Preview


Tsardoms Total War proudly presents a set of events which will impact the Ottoman player or factions close to the Ottomans. The events include famous battles, sieges, rebellions and historical characters. In the future we will add even more of these historical events.

Great Cannon of Orban

The player will receive an offer to hire Orban the cannon maker and his Great Cannon. If the player pays 5,000 florins he will receive the Orban ancillary and some artillery.

Siege of Constantinople

Ottoman armies will spawn and siege Constantinople

Giovanni Giustiniani Longo Reinforcements for Constantinople

The Greek player will have the option to hire the famous Genoese mercenary Giovanni Giustiniani Longo in the defense of Constantinople

Siege of Belgrade

Spoiler Alert, click show to read: 

Ottoman armies will spawn and siege Belgrade if the Ottomans still own the settlements around it in 1456




Giovanni Capistrano will spawn for the Hungarian side with a peasant militia



The Ottoman armies will be led by Karaca Pasha, the historical Ottoman commander of the siege

Vlad the Impaler Raid in Bulgaria

Cem Sultan Rebellion

The event will trigger when Mehmed dies. His son Cem will spawn with a rebel army and attack Bursa

Siege of Rhodes

The Ottomans will invade Rhodes at the historical date and will be led by Mesih Pasha

Mamluks Invade Anatolia

The son of Bayezid II will rebel and spawn with a rebel army

Aq Qoyunlu Invasion

There will be a host of events related to the rise of the Aq Qoyunlu threat and the eventual invasion of Uzun Hasan

Fantastic maintenance of usual high standards. Could I suggest Sheikh Bedreddin and the deviant dervishes -revolt of 1416 perhaps

Well yes for sure, but wouldn't be for the 1448 campaign. Definitely will need that for 1345 indeed.

This is for the late campaign, so past that time.

There will also be some great updates to Ottoman units which weren't previewed, Jurcek really outdid himself with them. The Ottomans now really do look great from the most basic to the strongest unit.

Don't I feel stupid. New units I thought the current ones were pretty awesome, so I look forward to seeing them in particular the deli, there's something about fighting them with my Krajišniks

There is i think 1 new unit, the Ulufeci, which acts as a heavy horse archer. The rest are reworks of some of the old units... There are minor tweaks to quite a few, like extra upgrades, but we have a completely remade Kapikulu Sipahi, which is one of the most beautiful units in the game, with a new mount as well. I never fight a battle without them The Timarli Sipahi also get a new mount, and there is extra diversity in some of the units that were a bit too much like clone soldiers, like the Sendregetci and the Heavy Janissary Infantry. All in all, everything an Ottoman fanboy can dream of

It's the delis I like, like the later başıbozuks you really want to dislike them....getting in character obviously, but they are so Ottoman

If I get a bit of time I will gather together a few of the Ottoman screenshots of all the revamped units and post them. It shouldn't take me too long and might make a few people happy.
