I don't want to write that name, so I won't
it's too obvious to be that

Wolverine?
Since Wolverine is too obvious and guessed already, I'll go with something else entirely.
Conan the Barbarian, Huge Jacked Man.
Sar1n's answer is very comical, but unfortunately, none are right so far. As a hint, I wasn't sure how strict Gyros would be about this being for "fantasy characters" (i.e., are comic or sci-fi characters okay too?), so the guy you are looking for is from an explicitly fantasy work. Hugh (or one of his most notable characters) gets you half of the name
Well, in either case, the character I have in mind is more traditional fantasy. And y'all have some clues in my post above. Should be doable from those (but I will check in tomorrow and give you more info, if needed).
Clearly t'is ser Hugh of the Vale, that very important song of ice and fire character.
It is not any kind of "Hugh". The final sentence of this (https://www.twcenter.net/forums/show...1#post16136410) gives you a big clue about the name.
Since people have stopped guessing, the character I have in mind is from a fantasy series often classified as "grim" or "dark", and the ol' Jackman (via one of his characters) gives you half of my guy's name. That's two hints now
I'm guessing it's someone from warhammer 40k in that case, but I don't know who. Sigismund maybe?
Well, has Hugh Jackman ever played a character named "Sigismund"? I am guessing no one knows these books (hint hint) then, but if you take what I've said here and above, it is pretty straightforward. If no one has it be this evening, I will cast myself into a shanka nest.
Logen Ninefingers?
under this sign, he will conquer
I need a name
