    Icon5 Invisible General Texture Help

I was changing Spain to Aragon for a mod, so i decided to change the icons, flags and the general on the stratmap as well. After it was done, i tried it with the general on the battlemap, but it gave me not good results. At near distance he looks fine, but when you zoom out he disappears! It's weird, since with the flags .texture files it worked fine :/

Is the battle texture file saved in TEXTURE format? If it is a simple TGA file like used in the strat model then I assume this issue will occur.

Before converting the file to TEXTURE you also need to make sure it's saved in DDS format with mipmaps on, that enables textures for multiple distances.

Thanks, it was the Mipmaps that were turned off
I didn't know what they did so I didn't turn them on :/

One is glad to be of service

They are basically ever smaller layers of the original graphic, used according to the engine setting, eg at certain resolutions (like the different sizes of the same icon on your computer) or in video games for different resolutions\viewing distances.
