Just out of curiosity, Sept, is this a rather well known movie? Like, would you expect us to recognize the title if we thought of the right words? Just wondering if I should be trying combos of words that make sense for the images, or if I might do that, get the actual title, and still not recognize it.

This is a well-known old movie that had a remake in more recent history. The asterisk is a placeholder for a syllable that wasn't possible to represent, and probably cracking the bottom row will reveal the title.
