Running console commands with "Show Me" scripts in Medieval 2?

Rome Total War had a very easy way to run console commands through a Show Me script as described here, but that exact method doesn't seem to work anymore in Medieval 2.

Is there any easy way to use a Show Me script like this in Medieval 2?

(I want to run a single "create_building" command that can't be run from the ingame console. I'm trying to create a building in a game I'm in the middle of, and as far as I know campaign scripts can't do that without starting the whole game over?)
