Movie ideas

Hi all,

I'm doing media this year and I have to make a movie... it counts for 40% of my mark ( very important!)

I'm completely stumped on ideas, so I'm turning to the twcommunity.

Just post some ideas for a movie.

I'll be making it with a hand held camera then editing it in premier elements. So I'll be able to add effects and stuff

Follow the rise of the welsh rebel who stood up to the english (welsh verson of braveheart), ends in the seige of castle harlech which gives us the song "men of harlech" sung famously in the film "zulu"

Budget Guys! Budget!

Do a courtroom drama, with one stunning twist. It's set inside a public bathroom. Just imagine all the comical nuances that could be brought up by that!

Get some freinds, toy lightsabers, lego starships, and do Star Wars: Episode 7

I did that in Gr.8

Except all those ideas requires dozens of actors, numerous costumes and building elaborate sets.

As to your quest for ideas, I once worked as an Arts Director, where I had to teach American High School students about film and theater, among other things. I don't know that I had all that much of an impact on the students, but I did have a couple of kids who had some pretty serious talent where filmmaking was concerned.

Some things they did with similar project parameters:

1. Basic Youth Drama: Telling the stories of High School kids with problems---dealing with love, friendships, relationships, parents, etc.

2. Satirical Comedies: One student used various kinds of dolls/action figures to talk about current politics (and this was before Robot Chicken even came out).

3.) Brief Documentaries: Two students produced documentaries on the school, and what it was like to go there. This is probably your cheapest and easiest option, but remember to focus on cinematography, sound and lighting. Style makes or breaks a documentary.

An overview of Australia defeating England at every sport, except football.

Oh well sorry mate i would have giving you my idea but i live in aus too and are doing year 12 media so i dont want to get hit for plagarism just like i am sure you dont either.

Make a musical about the fall of the Incas.
