Awesome - Its got great scope for a film license though I'd say; just imagine seeing all the architecture and artistic design from the games in film form for a start...

It'll be interesting to see if they decide to do a film for each of the games recently made. So long as Uwe Boll hasn't got his mitts on it, I think it stands a chance of being OK.

I wonder who will play the prince though...

Prince of Persia was the first PC game I ever tried, back in 1990 when I was 7 years old.

Actually, if this movie comes it is certain to be appalling garbage. Movies made based on games of any kind are trash - end of story. Doom, Tomb Raider, Super Mario Bros, Dungeons & Dragons, etc., etc., name a single such film that wasn't cringingly, horrifically embarrassing from the mere fact of its existence.

If you enjoyed the game, pray the film project does NOT reach completion and so pollute its anima by association.

All I have to say is they better have a big enough bankroll for the architecture. At least they don't have to pay for a lot of actors past the main 3 and the stuntmen.

movies based on games are rarely good.... infact i struggle to think of any that are anything other than cash-ins... Silent hill was watchable jsut to see the bizareness of it all and Dead or Alive was entertaining in that lots of pretty ladies and amrtial arts but erm mostly they are slow forms of torture hehe

i belive i will reserve judgement till i see a director and cast list
