Default Lugiones Faction Questions and New Update

Earlier on in Europa Barbarorum II's development, the Lugii, Veneti, Bastarnae, and related tribes were portrayed as akin to Balto-Slavic people during the mod's time period. How much of the Lugiones faction's original faction overview is still viable for historical information about these northeastern Central European and Eastern European tribes? Are these tribes portrayed as Celto-Germanic, starting as Celtic and then acquiring Germanic cultural characteristics closer to the late period of the mod, in the newer versions? Where exactly did the Vandals (later people?) fit into the Lugii and related tribes? What are some good web articles and books on these tribes? Also, who were the Fenni/Phinnoi that Tacitus and Ptolemy had mentioned, living not far off from neighboring Veneti and Bastarnae people? Could a unit representing Finno-Ugric people also be included?

Generally for this mod, what is the Lugiones faction's latest status, and what could possibly be added for them in the upcoming version of Europa Barbarorum II? I am interested in this faction, because it seems that less is historically known of them than the other factions, yet they appear to have commanded much trade revenue due to the Amber Road, and the Przeworsk culture appears to credit the Lugii as the primary bearers and spreaders of it, as well as the Vandals seemingly later on.

Which strategies do you employ while playing as the Lugiones? Have any of you tried to do a factional migration in the style of the Bastarnae conquest of Scythian and Dacian lands further southeast?

Lugiones faction was quite hot topic in the team and there was long discussion about them. In the beginning, the Lugiones were designed as latenised Balts but in later development they were changed to Celto-Germanic thus their description is outdated.

Situation before time of formation of Przeworsk culture in Polish Lowlands are are not very well known (although knowledge about this period has expanded significantly in the last few years). In the pre-Roman period a number of cultural transformations took place in the Polish lands. In LT B2 the Pomeranian-Cloche Grave circle disappeared and at that time materials related to the Jastorf culture, mainly from the Jutland Peninsula, started to appear in the Polish Lowlands. In LT C1 a process of latenization began in the areas of the Polish Lowlands occupied by the Jastorf culture, which by the end of LT C1b led to the formation of a new latenized cultural unit - the Przeworsk culture. In general, in LT B2 to depopulated Polish Lowlands arrived new wave of migrants (most probably from Jutland Peninsula). These new population could be linked with Vandili.

Fenni/Phinnoi were probably baltic or ugro-finnic tribes.

Some Finno-Ugric units are on the unit list.

There are several problems with Lugiones. Lugiones are rather obscure people and first historical sources about them are from second half of 1st century AD so we have no sources about them from mod timeframe. Another problem is that Przeworsk culture appear at the very end of the LT C1 so it is hard to justify such latenised units from the start. I think that due to new researches Lugiones faction will be changed (if we will have enough manpower to do so), and will start as Germanic group (with Jastorf culture pattern) who later transform into Przeworsk (hightly latenised Germanic peoples).
