Danish Light/Heavy Mail Skin

Just looking for a some feedback on a skin for the Danes, its almost done, just needs a little tweaking. Suggestions would be fantastic.

Anyone wants it just let me know.

Looks ok... I really like the beards!
However the bottom skirt design is a bit "international" with the crosses... Some Nordic symbols would be nice I think, or just something in a plain color.
Also, would be great with other helmets, something like...

Finally, the swordshilt should be singleedged, and more narrow... The scandinavian swords look more like this... Of course not that detailed! But more the shape.

Otherwise good job so far...

Sorry, just trying to get my work out there and generate some feedback, this skin actually a completely new version, the original was pretty ugly i think, if it is big deal go head a close the other one

Vindahl, thanks for the idea, i'll getting working on redoing the skirts, but the helmet/swordshilt actually have to do with the models, which out of the range of abilities, you also got me thinking to reskin some of the shields with viking/norse symbols

I noticed that you have not modified the gloss maps for the units. Are you planning on changing those for release?

I love the look of these skins. But...historically, by 1080, the Danes were wholly Christianized and adopting the look of other European powers. Spectacled helmets, Frankish short-quillion swords and round Viking shields were disappearing, if not already totally gone. Now, that said, this is a game, so let's go with what looks cool, and your skins look cool.

These skins are great, but you reminded me that I need to get back to doing the chainmail skin for Boyar sons + berdiche axemen, at the moment all that changes with UGing is their legs.

I'm putting the finishing touches on everything should be ready real soon.
I finally figured out the alpha and removed the spike, and as burrek suggested my final task should be fixing the gloss map.

Looks good... But I am uncertain about the shields. Though they look great, shields did not look like the one with the raven, if we are speaking historically.
Shields were more plain, or had symbols, which would work AROUND the shield, like a big serpent or something. That is the classical Scandinavian design... Some exambles...

That is true for most of the shields, but i came across a shield with the raven when i was researching and was inspired, i was not just throwing birds on shields all willy-nilly. Besides the mail is quite plain and the shields add much needed color to the skin.
