    Scotland may have a teutonic family tree - check the descr_sm_factions file entry. Or there is a simple formatting issue in the set up in descr_strat. Any erro messages in the log?

    Movement point reset is a different command afaik, not sure about the exact spelling right now.

    At this point, I'm wondering if my computer simply doesn't like me playing this game for some reason. Cuz I was later able to seemingly resolve the family tree issue, except NOW, none of my new characters seem to start out with or properly acquire any new traits! It's like there's a ghost in my machine constantly trying to find ways to mess things up!

    My bad, I forgot that Linux\Mac does not generate a log. A major short coming unfortunately.

    It's fine. I think I'll just switch back over to Windows, since for some reason my computer doesn't even want to run M2TW AT ALL now. Crashes every time I try to boot it up!

    Two things you can try:

    1. Remove the main game's CFG file to force a regenerating of it with default values.
    2. Make sure nothing is in Steam's launch option: right click the game in the library, choose 'properties' and then check the option.

    Number Two option didn't work, but where could I find the CFG file in the main game?

    Well, in Windows it's in the root of the game....

    You could simply copy BG's CFG file as backup and then copy the code underneath over it's content. Once you start BG it should write all the settings to the main CFG file, wherever it is. That might help.
