"For Gondor" | Lord of the Rings: Total War

As a quick disclaimer, I am posting this after the one "The Last Days of Gondor" has been posted. That AAR is amazing I and highly recommend it. Alas, my AAR is different as this is going to be pure gameplay showing the story - of Gondor's conquering of Middle Earth. I hope you enjoy. This mod is so much fun I suggest it to every Total War fan.

In this first episode of a campaign as Gondor in The Lord of the Rings mod for Rome: Remastered, the country of men begins to build its infrastructure to stave off the growing threat of Mordor. This mod is amazing I highly recommend it. Most of this series is pure gameplay – not much editing (and none of my voice).

In the second episode of the Lord of the Rings, Gondor Campaign, we continue to build up the empire while fending against rebels. Meanwhile, in Mordor, the Witch-king of Angmar builds his forces with Gothmog in tow. A massive battle takes place outside of Osgiliath! This mod is amazing I highly recommend it. In this episode of my Gondor campaign in The Lord of the Rings Total War, major battles continue to occur along the river as Mordor challenges me to see the initial strength of the kingdom. Every town, city, and castle is recruiting for the eventual invasion. In the west of Gondor, Aragorn, Gimli, and Legolas are conquering minor settlements to establish new sources of income and recruiting centers. This is an awesome episode that set up massive conflict for the next episode! Enjoy!

It looks like you have strong forces to hold Cair Andros and Osgiliath, and it makes sense to build up Gondor so that you're ready for the eventual invasion (I wasn't sure if you meant an invasion of Gondor by Mordor, or an invasion of Mordor by Gondor - either way, it will be epic!)

Haha I should've specified

I meant Mordor's invasion of Gondor. Which, I have already recorded episode four and the invasion from Mordor is ready. The build up of dark forces in the east compared to what I have is frightening. Can't wait to put it out there!

In this episode of my Gondor campaign in Lord of the Rings Total War, “the board is set, the pieces are moving.” The armies of men have amassed on the western edge of the river, opposite Mordor’s on the east. The initial Total War between Gondor and Mordor has begun. Aragorn sails to Osgiliath while Faramir commands armies and lays siege to Cair Andros. The end of the episode is a spectacle. Enjoy!

In this episode of my Gondor campaign in the Lord of the Rings Total War, the Army of the Dead comes to rescue Osgiliath just as the forces of Mordor are about to overrun the river. Mordor throws its hordes of orcs and trolls at Gondor on this part of a massive scale. Definitely don’t miss this one! Enjoy!

A massive scale, indeed! I was worried about the Mûmakil, it looked powerful enough to break through any infantry line.

In this episode of my Gondor campaign for Lord of the Rings Total War, Mordor and Gondor continue their back and forth over Osgiliath. Gondor, massively wealthy, puts diplomats to good use to try and stem the tide of Mordor’s hordes. Meanwhile, a Gondorian spy sneaks to Barad-dûr and sees the one Dark Lord himself…Enjoy!

That's a cool battle against the Witch King! The Witch King's mount seemed to turn red at about 5:30, I wondered why - was a special ability being used, or was the beast out of control (like an elephant running amok after being struck by javelins) or was something else happening?

This is the final part to a fun but an introductory campaign to this Lord of the Rings Mod. There still come good battles in this - including a siege battle as Minus Morgal! I'll be starting a new playthrough as an evil faction (with a white hand) so be sure to sub to not miss that! Enjoy!
