I tried a Half-Life total conversion called Cry of Fear by a Swedish team called Psykskallarna (in English "Psycho Skulls") that was supposedly the scariest game ever designed. I cannot give a review as I was unable to continue after like 10 minutes, but if you are in the market for a spooky experience, I can recommend it.
