    Default How do we change the starting date of a campaign?

    I'd like to start a mod called The Long Road 1.8 in the year 1280. Since this involves the basic scripting of any mod, i thought i'd ask this question here.

    The reason i'd like to change dates is because i'd like to advance a 2-turn per year campaign much closer to the gunpowder age. If i recall correctly, gunpowder is discovered in the mid 1300's.

    There's definitely at least one other step to it besides just changing the start date. All of the events in the game are actuated by a trigger, based on the number of turns since the game was started.

    The text file that has those scripts is called descr_events.txt, located in the same folder as descr_strat.txt

    There could be another step. Since i'm waiting on another main mod to be released i've not tested if just two steps is all that is required.

    The events are linked to the number of years since the game started. The only step is changing the date in descr_strat.
