Indeed, this would be helpful. Do we know if the other mods (EBII, Tsardoms, TATW) use the vassal function? I have a recollection that it was a feature prone to exploitation by the player (or other AIs?) - the AI was eager to give money, the player would take it, the script would get the AI out of the debt, the AI would get into debt again etc.

Just asking because I like this mod so much: is there yet any release date of the next update?
Hello sorry if this is stupid question.i did lot a search but couldnt find answer for it;
farms and roads cost 20 turn.is that intended or some kind of bug?
No worries, this is the right place!
The build time is intended: think of farms and road as representing the upscaling of the whole region infrastructure, not just one building being made somewhere.
Also the mod is more slow paced and development focused, and every settlement won't be able to build everything and upgrade to max pop.

Does it usually make sense to try to upgrade roads and farms right away if you can afford it or build other things first?
Thanks for the info! That's bad news but no problem and take your time.

Just a quick question, is it known that when you hover over france in the campaign map, the fps starts to drop by around 20 fps? Or is it just me? And is there a fix for this?
To fly over the map without losing fps, simply deselect the previously selected character or community.
Otherwise I have reassuring news about the next version: the cause of the crash has finally been found and fixed. @Jurand is absent this week but will finalize the next version as soon as he returns !![]()
This has probably been pointed out or is known, but I gotta ask. Why are the Norwegian FM bodyguards, the unit of "Chudy"?
Hello
Forgive me if this is a so called "stupid question". I also searched for this topic in the forums, but I didn't find any search function for searching internally in a specific sub-forum, so if this has been answered elsewhere I haven't seen that.
The install-instructions tells me to "Unpack the 7-Zip file into the mods-folder". Doing so just leads to all the content of the mod being dropped into the mods-folder without being inside a specific mod-folder (the folders called "americas" "crusades" "Divide and Conquer" "SS6.3" and so on). I can only assume there was supposed to be a folder called "SS6.3" or something (like there is in version 0.97) which all the unpacked content of the 7-zip file wa supposed to be inside of? I'm not sure if this is an oversight?
If you thought that this was so obvious that anyone will be able to solve this on their own, please understand that not everyone has the know-how to even pick up on there being anything wrong in the first place. Many people will just follow the install-instructions blindly and be confused when they hit "launch" and nothing happens. Isn't the whole point of step-by-step install instructions to help those people who don't understand these things intuitively?
Anyways, can I just create a folder under "Medieval II total war > mods" that is called "SS6.3", and unpack the 0.98 download into that?
Can I call the folder something else than "SS6.3" or will that create problems?
Hi! no worries, the installation method changed so we understand it could be disorienting for people using to the previous way of doing things.
SSHIP 0.98 no longer needs to be inside a folder named SS6.3. Instead it should be inside a folder named SSHIP_098, and extracting with 7zip as indicated should take are of that. If it doesn't, you can indeed create the folder /mods/SSHIP_098 youself and unzip the mod inside of it.
Hope it clears things up!

Indeed, there is a lack in the installation explanations:
You must first create a SSHIP_098 folder and unzip the zip file in it before launching the mod with the SSHIP 098 launcher.bat otherwise it won't work !
