Phalangitai Blocky models

I noticed that their back armor is like a box . is there a reason for it , because there are models and textures for Hoplitai and some other units which could be used for phalangitai

Linothorax is kinda blocky. It is just constructed in that way.

i see, but it is suspicious that not a single hoplite for example has the blocky model (in eb 2)

Are you talking about the square that sticks up from the torso part and protects the back of the neck? That seems to be a reoccurring feature of linothorax across video games, illustrations, and reconstruction. Maybe it's there to protect the neck from scummy backstabs
