All this Region swapping

I love the mod however the insane region swapping is ruining the game for me. For example playing as the Huron i wanted to invade the Iroquois only to find they have swapped Michigan for a region smack bang in the middle of Russia. They swapped another with Austria meaning in order to conquer my neighbouring provinces in North America i have to declare war on Russia and Austria, its just so stupid, Darthmod is supposed to make empire less dumb not more. is there any fix?

Another mod, Wind from the East, prevents region trading by default. They offer a sub-mod to allow region trading. Maybe, by looking at that sub-mod with Pack File Manager, you could work out how to create a sub-mod for DarthMod that would disallow region trading?

Alternatively, you could try editing the DarthMod setting which affect the AI, so AI factions are less likely to want to trade regions. Bran Mac Born, who specialises in modding the AI, suggested possible ways to do this.

Thanks for replying, I am sure i am using the latest platinum v8.1. From what I understand this is a consequence of making the AI more willing to swap or buy/sell regions from the player, however i dont really buy or trade regions much with the AI and in ever campaign i have played the AI in Europe will make insane swaps usually with Native factions, Cherokee in Poland, Plains Nations in Gibraltar. In the Huron one i played the Iroquois trades Michigan with Russia on turn 3. I reset the and Iroquois have traded Michigan to Russia and their other one to Austria on Turn 2

The final version doesn't seemed to have fixed it for me, I've found several other people with this issue as well but no real fix. One guy even went back to playing v7.0 because he found it so annoying, i don't have those files so I play ETF instead. Thanks for your suggestion I'll try what Bran has said and see if that works, I'd really like to get Darthmod working properly for the AI improvments.

Well, perhaps I remember wrong, but honestly, aside of one or two crazy swaps in 200+ turns, I didn't see that problem. What @Alwyn said, making the CAI less likely to do it, was how Darth dealt with it.
