How can i take an eastern faction say for example Armenia, and have the eastern faces the units have replaced with the faces used by Hellenic units?

You must change the variant mesh of every unit Armenia is using and then give the new unit variants new entries for armenia in the unit_variant_table.

Here is a basic tutorial how to start unit modding:

    The variantmeshdefinitions are in models_rome2.pack.

I'm just re skinning vanilla units not making new models from scratch. Dont I just have to replace the text of vanilla models with the new reskin text?

You need PFM/RPFM to open the vanilla pack and to extract and change the unit.vmds and create your own mod.pack.

Read the tutorial, there is all you need to know.

All I'm doing is changing the eastern skins with Greek ones. I started with tbe Empire Divided Armenian units which is in the mondel3_ rome 2 folder and not in tbe original models_rome2 folder. however in game I dont see tbe changes. I was thinking do I have to change tbe unit skins in tbe original models_Rome folder as well inorder for the changes to show up in tbe divided empire Armenian units?

    1. create a new mod.pack.

    2. add your variantmeshdefinitions.

    3. add the variants_table wit your new unit variants.

    4. add the unit_variant_table with your new unit_variants for 3c_armenia.

Without this two tables you won't see nothing ingame.

But its all described in the tutorial.
