I have this annoying error when opening EUIII, other games don't get this problem:


Any help would be appreciated.

(please not the swap RAMs thing or the buy a new graphic cards thing, all games including M2TW work perfectly, but why EUIII !?)

Hmm.. Indeed.. Could you tell your system specs for a start, can't remember anymore.
If you're lucky, you might even solve it with a driver upgrade, but.. EU3 has amazingly high system requirements, including shader model 2.0 (graphics card feature).

I have a 2.66 Pentium 4 Processor, an ATI 9550 256mb with pixel shader 2.0 support (duh ) and 1 GB of DDR1 RAM.

Have you updated the game to 1.1 version and what graphics card drivers are you using?

No didnt update to 1.1, I have the ATI drivers that came with it, not old.

When you say "trying" to help, you mean you are going to download the 1.1 patch and get the latest drivers for Ati?
This is said in the Paradox forums, and has helped a lot of people. Might not do any good, but worth trying, eh?

EDIT: Okay, so I install it directly, or do I have to do anything before installing it? (the ATI drivers)

Installing what? Drivers: recommend uninstalling old drivers first. (from control panel.)
Patch: If it's .Rar, just unzip it to main game directory.

Nevermind! I got it to work! Finally EUIII!

This is my first experience with any game Paradox made, hope a good first impression is waiting for me...bye everyone, time to play EUIII!!!
