Useless marriage alliances

Im positive someone has complained about this before in a post but allow me..

How annoying is it to waste time marrying your heir to a foreign princess only to have your new brother nation quickly become your enemy on the dumbest grounds possible???

Playing as Sicily I had my Prince marry an HRE princess and the very next year my HRE inlaws side with Milan AGAINST me, after Milan, my erstwhile ally, backstabbed me over the posession of Corsica. Wouldn't the real HRE dynasty have joined me, their new allies in royal marriage, in dividing the spoils of Milan between us? The HRE barely has a front on which to confront me, wheras I could have snagged Genoa while they took Milan.

Now Im stuck with a "wretch" of a German wife - which in my mind must be linked to the fact she is despised by the entire nation - while my Prince spends his time banging his adultress and not having any sons.

Oh ya, and this is playing WITH the ultimate AI mod!!

Maybe the HRE was just marrying her off because they didn't like her either. That way they get rid of some annoying daughter and then go to war against her, thus killing her (eventually) if they won.

So really HRE gets both - 1) no annoying daughter
2) gets to kill her for good reason, she's married to your faction heir

At least the HRE hasn't attacked you, I was playing as Scotland and married my princess to their heir and within 2 years of the alliance Portugal back stabbed me, unfortunately I made my princess a widow within the next turn.

I'm assuming HRE is just allied with Milan or did they back stab you aswell?

I don't know about useless, at least your heir has a wife and the potential to sire children for a (ideally) growing family.

if you watch Tristan and Isolde.. its a movie about england and ireland set in the 600's or so..
the king of ireland does this exact thing.. he offers his daughter as a prise to an english tournament winner who becomes king of england.. then the King denounces his daughter and uses her transgressions to call english king dishonourable and declares war..
