It is an idea from Medieval 1. But there islamic and nonislamic faction were more different: The nonislamic allways had to look for princesses and even nonheirs did not marry commoner woman before they reached a age between 30 and 40. So it was quite an advantage of the islamic faction to have no princesses and were allowed to marry a commoner woman early. But in Medieval 2 this feature was quite useless.

I suppose the reason for it maybe( I might be wrong) in medieval times the importance of women was very low and the muslim princesses were no exception so maybe CA based their idea of not giving them to the Islamic factions were based on that idea and reality.

They are not active from the start when you have a girl they'll grow up to be a princess.

ok here i thought it wasnt working.ill giver another go. also i use darth lite 1.3b. can i just add this to the darth data directory since none of the files are used by darthmod?

If there is no descr_sm_factions.txt included into darth lite, you can just add the princess mod without problems.

Thanks a lot GrandViz... There shouldn't be any sideeffects on the VnV mod from Orientis because I haven't used the "export_ancillary descr" files as at all..and any other files that Orientis has used for his mods...

There shouln't be any side effect. Eventually there might be an ancillary or a trait, with is not allowed for islamic factions, so islamic princesses won't get them. But I had a quick look and found nothing like this (but really a quick look), and if there are such traits or ancillaries it won't do any harm. To be sure, you have to do some testing.
