    Default Kislev tactics and strategies

In our poll so far, Kislev is the most popular faction to play first (although with Patch 1.1, CA have done as Heir of Carthage suggested, and replaced Kislev with Cathay as the recommended first campaign for a new Warhammer III player).

What are your tactics and strategies as Kislev?

While Kislev's cavalry look great and have a decent charge, they tend to struggle in prolonged melee. For new players, Zerkovitch shows how to use Kislev's cavalry effectively.

Heir of Carthage compared Kislev to the Wood Elves, and I can see the similarity - both are particularly effective with ranged attacks, and tend to struggle when charged by a faction with good melee units. A Kislev player can use magic to slow approaching melee units, but this may not be enough by itself, particularly in Realms of Chaos battles where you need to keep winning decisively. In a battle which starts 10:00 minutes into this video, Heir of Carthage demonstrated his 'bear baiting' tactic, to draw the enemy's faster units away from their main line - so his ranged units can defeat the enemy's faster units first, before firing at their heavier units.
