The strat map models for the 1448 campaign have been remade to fit the XV century. There will also be special strat map models for hero characters such as Skanderbeg or Janos Hunyadi or Vlad the Impaler.

It's rather frustrating I'm at this precise moment in the main campaign.
Do you know what each of the heraldic symbols on the Pavise are? I recognise Moravia, and I think Croatia

I'm not a member of the team, but I can answer you.

So, after the death of King Mathias (1490) to the end of the mod timeframe (1530):

In Hungary-Croatia the main power was the cavalry. The backbone of the armies were the heavy cavalry in western style (The average heavy cavalry wore less horse armor, and used iron mace, straigt sword or heavy sabre after lance. Shield use was rare because the entire plate armor made it unnecessary.).
Of the light cavalry, the hussars were the most important (some of them wore light armor and helmet + horse barding at back). Their speed was essential against the fast Turkish raiders. (After the death of King Matthias, the Austrians also used a small number of Hungarian hussars as mercenaries.) (In Tsardoms you can't see the exact equipment of the age-appropriate Hungarian/Croatian hussar, only the light hussar after 1550.)

The most significant and widespread units in the Hungarian infantry were the arquebusiers (they did not wore armour or less and mostly used sabre and sword as melee weapon).

The domestic heavy infantry was not significant. (Full armoured Bohemian, and Polish heavy infantry fought as mercenaries in Hungarian armies with pole weapons and arquebuses, like in Battle of Mohacs-1526).

Hungarians preferred the more agile fighting style, so they didn't fought in pike/halberdier formations like the swiss or, landschneckts. But at the time of Hungarian-Bohemian personalunion (1490-1526.) recruited landschneckt units from Bohemia. (The king had 700 landschneckt halberdier personal guard too.)

The use of war wagons was also known.

From the images I've seen I'd agree that the current Hussar Lancers are a bit out of our timeframe. They look more like our Serbian Gusar unit

Yes, the Serbian Gusar more similar to the 15th century Hungarian Hussar then the current one.
In historical the first hussars in Hungarian armies was ethnically serbians under rule of King Sigismund. Then under the rule of Hunyadis more and more Hungarians appeared in the hussarship, and with that the shape of the weapons changes a bit.
King Matthias had already written in a decree what equipment the hussar should have, and there are written sources about the armament even after his reign. According to some decree, the hussar must wear chainmail and conical helmet (with iron nose guard stick, similar to the Turkish type helmet)

Hungary will have access to Serbian Gusars as mercenaries from the start and the native Hussars unlock in 1470. I would actually be interested in creating a new model for those. Post the images in the research thread please.
