The tullies where happy at the victory at Riverrun, and looking to recover their losses, deferred to send aid for the siege of Seagard , and the Freys looking at the confidence of the defenders, viewed the situation with caution.
After some mulling, Black Walder realised that perhaps he didnt have sufficient infantry to storm the enemy gates[he feared the enemy would heavily defend the gates and force a chokepoint making his heavy strenght of cavalry a moot point], and requested more from the Twins, and set about making more siege weapons for them, after all he mused, the only thing that could stop a attack next season, would be the arrival of some more sea bound ironborn, and even if they did arrive, the freys would have a heavy cavalry advantage, if it came to a battle on the field...in either event, a season more , would require perhaps less losses of frey blood, and more important than that.....a saving of the cost of this venture.
