land bridge blockades

hey guys, in normal maps you can blockade land bridges (Green Arrows) by placing a ship on the arrow itself. in DLV it doesnt seem to work.. does it? If it does, how do you do it?

Is it because of BigMap?

In my experience, the landbridges around the Bosporus ARE blockable with ships, in DLV 1.8 and 1.9. Other landbridges... I don´t know, but I pressume, are too. Which one did you found not blockable?

Blocking should work

In DLV 2.0 will be no more landbridges

the one connecting the england with the french mainland. (that landbridge isnt in the vanilla map). i put a fleet on the green arrow but scottish diplomats were still traversing it.

ok ill recheck the savegame.. maybe i missed something. thanks for the replies guys

I found that the landbridge between England and France is two units wide. I had to place two armies to actually block units from moving acrossed it.

boogieman's right. the 2 landbrisges which are connected end to end have to be blockaded by 2 navies. thats pretty dumb since its just a longer line and blockading at any point in the line should stop the flow of units but anyway.. thanks boogie

I have blockaded the landbridges England France and England Ireland, works fine. Then the Scots sent troops by boat and took the northern region of Ireland.
