Chronos/Saturn eats his children, Francisco de Goya.
Listening to the nothingness I'm hearing while I watch your lips move.
If you really knew me, you'd think twice about creating my truth.
I'm sick and tired of feeling my face on fire when you don't know what you're talking about.
You don't know what it's like to be me.
No, you don't know what it's like to be me.
You've got it! The floor is yours!
Thank you.

I like his impressionistic art style and the colours he is using.
Anyone can take up the turn.

I did do some researches about German impressionist but could not find that artwork, sadly. At first it reminded me of Monet, honestly.
Anyways, something new to study for me![]()

I guess I'll take a stab at this, Winged Victory of Samothrace?
To fight and conquer in all our battles is not supreme excellence; supreme excellence consists in breaking the enemy's resistance without fighting.

indeed, AKA Nike of Samothrace (hence the name of the infamous brand)

Guess I'm up to some researches on more Australian Impressionists![]()

Peculiar green color of this artwork definitely helped. After a few failed attempts with "woman in green/woman with green umbrella" I did realize that the correct word, for the time, is indeed parasol
Surprisingly there's more than one artwork with this name, but this one seems to be definitely "The green parasol" by Emanuel Phillips Fox.
I'm still surprised of how many good painters from Australia from that period, and very little of them are know in Europe![]()

That's right! 'Australian Impressionism' was a moment that sprang up from the Heidelberg School which rose up when the seperate states in the then colonies located in Australia were seriously considering Federation (ie. Independence but with the British Monarch retained as head of state). The painter of this particular piece ushered in the second part of that movement which ended in 1900. All this was part of a national awakening of sorts....
Fox even went to study in Paris for a while from 1886 to 1892.
Your turn![]()
