It's always great to see submissions from people who haven't generally entered these competitions before, but I wouldn't want to sound as though I'm less keen to have submissions from established competitors. My ideal competition has both kinds of submission! (Since this competition does have both, I'm happy.

There will be a short delay before voting begins, as there are one or two things I need to check before we can get started...

Edit: I should say that if anyone has any last-minute entries or amendments they want to make (perhaps because they have a bit of free time because of Christmas) then please do seize this opportunity to enter the competition or amend your submissions. It would be foolish of me to turn away new submissions!
