Yeah, there's no room for France in 1345 campaign. Originally they were supposed to be an emergent faction, also Aragon, but was removed to free the valuable faction slot for more useful factions. France made room for Golden Horde which was a lot more engaging faction that's playable from the start, than France which would appear veeery late.

Ah. Will any of the factions in the main campaign be scrapped then (correct me if I'm wrong)? Also, will the map of the 1448 campaign be the same one as the main campaign? Will there be spotlights on the new factions in the near future?

Aydin, Athens, Timurids, Naples, Kantakouzenos, Bulgaria are out.
New map will be based on the map you know but with changes to certain provinces, mostly reduction of the Ottoman regions so they don't become unbeatable fullstack of doom spammer.

Will there be an overview of the new factions?

Will the Romans get new unit models? The current ones look a bit dated compared to other factions

I feel like it will be one of the best campaigns ever made in a Total War game

Awesome in all respects, glad I'm not the Pope.
Edit: Can and I really hope so will this French invasion be in main 'original' campaign? I'm actually at 1452 in my campaign and I was wondering who cool it would be.

Well at the moment they are not. They can't be as France per se because there are no slots for the faction. But they can be just a spawned rebel horde like the hussite hordes. So perhaps we will add that.

Nah, the roster is excellent and very historical.

Here's a couple of new additions:

Albanian Halberdiers, Mountain Skirmishers and Durres Crossbowmen

They will get a minor tweak (hopefully). But overall their roster is already excellent and very authentic.

    Nice units!
I see the Machiavello Total War team shared the models of the horse armor. According to historical sources, these horse armor (or some of its details) also fit some Hungarian and Austrian cavalry units.
(The Hungarian Baronial Banderium's textil bardings are deletable, because unhistorical. And for them the Polish knights armour models are more historical then the current ones.)

Nobles will not have fully armoured horses. Only bodyguards
