Thread: Floating castles

    Default Floating castles

    Sometimes castles hover above ground during sieges on my new map. Haven't seen it with cities yet. I've read it has something to do with sea level and descr_terrain but I haven't found the issue.

    Make sure you have default values in descr_terrain, only the dimensions of the map itself should be edited.

    Other then that ask the guys in IWTE about it, they might know more about it.

    Indeed I have only edited the dimensions and nothing else, which confuses me. I will ask there, thank you.

    Apparently I must've gone over the absolute height. Lowering the height to 98 seemed to fix the floating problem. Thank you.

    I am assuming you are talking of RGB value in map_heights? If so - that is also responsible for 'black' radar maps in battle, hence heights in excess of that value should be restricted to inaccessible areas.
