Lady strat map advisor keeps popping up for no reason all of a sudden

The lady strat map advisor in the upper left corner has suddenly started popping up constantly - two or three times - during AI moves. I have all advice turned off at campaign start. I have been playing this game for 12 years and this has never happened before. I did try using the latest trial release of SHIPP 98, and that is when the problem started. However, I am not using it now, but the problem persists. I thought that maybe it was due to a stuck hotkey on my keyboard, but I've checked all my keys. I have also checked the config file in both my mods and the main game, and nothing looks odd there.

Gigantus, can you help me please. It's very annoying to have that lady keep popping in and out of my AI turns, with nothing to say or add, just popping in and out. Thanks so much if you can adivse.

The only other way for her to pop up would be through script if you have set her to mute at game start. Or if you have run a mod that has a adviser setting in it's CFG file in between.

If you want to forcefully disable the adviser then add these settings to your mod's CFG file in the [game] section:

blind_advisor = 1
mute_advisor = 1
