Thats really sad, but moving at the same time.

And this video is very sad too:

death and deep sorrow, which leads into the darkest hopelessness...

At least there is some hope at the end...

I'll tell ya what's really sad. When you eat your last bite of leftover baked ziti that you spent hours making the other day and realize you're not gonna make it again for quite a while because it involves so many awesome ingredients imported from Italy, but also too many fattening ones and you got to lay off the pasta and cheeses for a while. Metabolism sucks. I want to be able to have a funneling machine that just shoots globs of ricotta and blasts of freshly shredded mozzarella, provolone, and parmesan cheeses into my mouth, along with ground pork and sausage mixed with green pesto, minced garlic, and marinara sauce (or pink penne rosa sauce).

I hope none of you experience the mental torment of having to take a case to a jury trial when the settlement offers between both parties was less than $1000.00 apart

Of all the children of Finwë he is justly most renowned: for his valour was as a fire and yet as steadfast as the hills of stone; wise he was and skilled in voice and hand; truth and justice he loved and bore good will to all, both Elves and Men, hating Morgoth only; he sought not his own, neither power nor glory, and death was his reward.

Having had to do this many times in the past, I can say that it did not get any less painful over time.

Do you remember Ponny, my 18 year old cat? She died last week (she had a tumor and again we had to request for an injection to stop her from suffering again).. it was excruciating.

I'm blessed that my animals give me always a last love service by taking away that decision of me...

Death always came quick to them, but it doesn't make it easier.

It's even worse when you are up to decide on a life of a relative, a human I mean. But that's expected to be painful, sad and traumatizing. Animals can become as important as humans, but nothing will be as terrible has having to put your mom, or one of your kids, to rest.

You should not do that. You should wrote down, what shall happen, if you are only living because of machines.

Yes we have here what it is called the "biological testament", which I think actually translate into living will. It's one document you can use to decide about how your body has to be disposed (including if you want or not your organs to be donated, mine are a bit worn out but I guess they can still use the kneecaps ) and against being subject to inappropriate overtreatment, which is a bit of obscure to define: as far as I understood, any treatment which is only aimed at saving the life without any real hope for a proper life falls withing the "inappropriate"; for instance, if you have a serious brain damage that will impede you to have a "normal life", and if you requested not to get any inappropriate treatment, they should not even be trying to save your life, so it's not just about "being attached to machines".

It is still a very debatable and debated argument (euthanasia is not allowed here yet, for example), but as long as one still has the right to express their will, it seems that if you move to Switzerland and have your life terminated there, there aren't going to be consequences for those who have helped you.

Anyways, I filled and signed my biological testament a few years ago, having had to decide on the death of 3 close relatives I can tell you this: you are not going to let them go, egoistically, only lengthening their suffering, and doctors will never incite you to take a similar decision, because they're afraid of legal consequences; it's gonna cost a lot of money to look after a fully disabled person, even in countries with public healthcare (because it's public, not fast .. so you'll have to resort on your money if you want to give them immediately what they need and deserve); whenever they could, they'll try to let you understand that they want to go (and it's incredibly heartbreaking to have to see that, believe me). Honestly, I would shot myself rather than having to live a life like that, knowing that I'm going to suffer and weight on my family, to no avail at all.
