I finally obtained my dual citizenship yesterday with Croatia. I went to the embassy to get the paperwork. There goes the neighborhood I guess .

My brother wants to collect citizenships. He married a Ukrainian, so he's hoping to get a Ukrainian citizenship, then he found out that his wife has some Jewish heritage, so he wants her to go for that Israeli citizenship so he can get it too

Oh thanks, at least everyone seems to agree on something there .

So my Croat relatives go back to the same town for 400 years. Even got a family hotel there. Apparently there was two branches of the family, one on top of the hill and one on bottom (great grandfather was part of the latter bunch). Apparently they didn’t get along and when people from both sides came to Pennsylvania, they said we wasn’t related just a coincidence. I finally found the mutual link last September putting a end to it, on paper anyhow. What caused it, no idea, probably something stupid like over a lost chicken or something .

Although, my great grandfather who was in the Austro-Hungarian navy, and had a legendary temper used to say “That other side are Communistssssssssss!”
