It was faster in f'ing 2005.

Because back then it ran on VB2 with no custom plugins.

Now it's running VB4 with a load of custom plugins.

It's simply not comparable.

It takes me a couple of minutes just to get here. It doesn't want to remember me logged in, so I have to relog every time I'm back here, then it doesn't redirect automatically, that's broken too. Then it takes another 20-30 seconds to manouver into threads.

I am a veteran of 54k internet and grew up with underpowered PC's, patience is not foreign to me, but... this is a bit too much.

On the other hand, I love that time seems to stand still on TWC. I see the same names which were here when I stopped coming, writing same things. That's actually pretty bad sign for TWC, but it makes me feel like I never stopped posting.

Yeah the really cancerous pop-ups and stuff they were running a few years ago made me leave altogether. Crazy enough its much better than the few times I tried circa. 2017-18ish

Has anyone else experienced that? A couple of minutes? It takes me a few seconds to load a page.

It takes 6 seconds to get from here back to TD and another 5 to get back.

That's like hours in modern day.

Yeah it's just a couple seconds for me.

Annoying sometimes but not enough to prevent me from using anything.

I tend to open multiple tabs at once and so I really only need to worry about one wait.

It's been like that for quite a long while already. Without a major site overhaul. It seems that vBulletin has reached its limits for such a site like TWC but on the other hand, I don't know if there's another alternative offering a better solution
Anyway, this won't change much without the site owner's involvement and he's been MIA for long already and unfortunately.
