Error installing Stainless Steel 6.4?

The original message says it cannot make a temporary file, operation aborted?

I am guessing it's got to do with my repack and not the original? If memory serves the patch I issue afterwards fixes that - I had formatted the campaign_script file which changed the positioning of the keyword, eg removed a number of empty spaces in front of it.

Hello! I have a similar problem. I get the same messages ("Cannot read the start keyword in file data/campaign/sub/BGR2.txt
Valid keywords are append, translate, overwrite, replace") when i'm activating Byg's Grim Reality. The mod seems to work, but without BGR.
Is there anything i can do to fix the problem? maybe using the "run as administrator" option?

I'm not sure if i understand correctly. You mean that i must run the patch to fix the problem? I've done it already but it doesn't seem to work. I also tried to run the launcher as administrator and there were no error pop-ups. It seems to work. Shall i continue with this optionin in order to play the mod?

Curious - the initial problem was certainly me formatting the campaign_script which caused that 'Cannot read the start keyword' error message from the launcher. The system how the launcher works may have something to do with it, eg how stuff gets copied.

If you run into the issue again then do a clean install and add the patch before starting a game.

I decided to uninstal/reinstall the whole game (I forgot to mention that i'm using a cd version of mtw2-gold edition and win10 OS). Is this vesion of SS 6.4 only steam compatible?

· Steam users: no need to do anything extra - simply start the mod with it's desktop shortcuts once you have run the installer.
