LTC mod and patch 1.1

Hi,

I'm trying to find a mod that makes MTW II more enjoyable. I have run into a few problems and questions as I try to decide what exactly to do.

First, it seems like after I install MTW II and LTC I cannot then install the vanilla 1.1 patch. Do I need to uninstall everything and start from scratch?

Also, I wanted to install Darth's diplomacy patch, but I wasn't sure how to(his installation directions make no sense to me). Also, I'm not sure if it is already included basically in LTC.

Finally, I want to be able to pick any faction, but I can't seem to figure out how. I tried copy/paste in that one file from unplayable to playable lol...

More attractive to me is realistic diplomacy that seems to be finally possible with MTW II (over the other TWs).

Anyway, if you could give me some tips, I'd appreciate it. Thanks

*EDIT* Ok, I guess the other DL was no good as I went through the Sega site and was able to dl a patch version that worked. I still have the other questions above though.

Sounds like you've made things much more difficult for yourself than they need to be. Follow these instructions for the best M2TW experience currently available:

1. Install the game.
2. Download and install the 1.1 official patch.
3. Download and install Lands to conquer 2.1 from this forum.

That's really all there is to it! I have no clue how to install Darth's diplomacy patch, but there is already a good diplomacy mod included with the LTC installation, namely the Ultimate AI mod.

All factions are playable in LTC.
