strictly talking about what you can directly do through lua functions, you have these options:

    - force_declare_war
    - force_make_peace
    - force_make_trade_agreement
    - force_make_vassal

    nothing more, nothing less

there are ways so to change the diplomatic stances (or retrieve them), like best friends, neutral ecc...
there are ways so to block/enable diplo pacts possibilities between 2 factions

thank you for your answer. One more question if you don't mind please. If I use force_make_vassal faction x on faction y what's the outcome on the faction x? Does it change accordingly?

I honestly never used that function myself... but I know it works, and should give you the type of vassalage where... you can't mess much with the client faction.
Dunno much about how this stuff works...

What do you mean with outcome? x will be lord and y client
