Factional changes:
Triballi (rom_triballi) renamed Dardanoi, culture changed to Illyrian & faction leader name to changed Monunius (The Triballi were historically driven out of the area around Sirmium, named after one of their kings, by the invading celt and fled mostly east to Moesia).
Dardanoi (gen_triballi) renamed Triballi.
Pergamon (rom_pergamon) now part of Diadochi faction group and allowed to create satrapies instead of client states. No longer allowed to confederate.
Antigonid (rom_macedon) allowed to create satrapies instead of client states.
Syracuse (rom_syracuse) and other minor emergent apoikia's (not counting Massilia, Colchis & Bosphorus) allowed to form confederation with existing polises (Athens, Sparta etc.).
Persian factions allowed to confederate. Confederation renamed Neo-Persian Empire.
Decreased the relations penalties and bonuses for all playable factions (eg. Antigonid -20 malus againt hellenic factions to -10).
Moved the Lydian capital to Sardis region (formerly named Pessinus region), the Seleucid capital to Seleucia & the Armenian capital to Armavir.
Changed the government of Sparta & Massalia to that of Oligarchy.
Changed the bonuses for most types of government to better reflect reality, while balancing research, public order & party loyalty etc..
Added a relation bonus (+100) for establishing client states & penalty (-150) for breaking the treaty (only client states, not satrapies).
Unit changes:
Uses a custom version of the Alternative Phalanx & Pikephalanx mods by kam2150 (integrated into @alternativephalanx_custom_dei_127.pack , @alternativepikephalanx_custom_dei_127.pack & @dei_fix_127.pack).
1) Fixed missing bracing for phalanx's & shield walls (Pike=Shortpike>hoplite>shieldwall=repelcavalry>hollowsquire).
Streamlined & reintroduced several abilities, so now:
1) all hellenistic (incl. Illyrian, Daco-Thracian, Indo-Hellenic) Thorax sword infantry have the defensive formation.
2) all hellenistic (incl. Illyrian, Daco-Thracian, Indo-Hellenic) Thorax spear infantry have the defensive formation & hollow squire formation.
3) all hellenistic Light Hoplites & Spartan Youth have the hoplite phalanx formation.
4) Scythian, Dacian, Thracian, Hellenistic and Eastern factions (excl. arab & african faction) have the flying wedge formation for shock cavalry with lances or spears/bows (NOT melee cavalry or horse archers with axes/swords). All other factions have the formation removed.
5) Iberian, Numidian, Scythian, Dacian, Thracian & Eastern factions have the cantabrian circle for all missile cavalry. Also included are Tarantine cavalry for roman and greek factions, and Galatian and Scordici missile cavalry & Bactrian Missile Cavalry. All other factions have the formation removed.
6) Reintroduced Legionary Imitations for Masaesyli, Hayk, Pontus & Massilia. Galatian Legionary Imitations remains the same.
7) Syracusan infantry given abilities matching those of various italian AOR infantry (eg. Bruttian Infantry).
8) All Cavalry, Camel, Elephant & Chariot units have the Mighty Knockback ability.
9) Babylonian, Assyrian & Parthian Heavy Infantry are now formed spearmen instead hoplites and have the defensive formation. This also inscludes persian Applebearers (Some of these changes might already have been implemented in DEI, but I can't remember which, so I listed them all for convenience).
10) All variations of the Thessalian calvary now have the Rhomboid cavalry formation. (Some of these units might already have the formation in DEI).
11) Iphicratean peltasts given defensive formation ability.
Changed AOR group for Sparta & Pontus to match geographical and cultural backgrounds (eg. sparta no longer use foreign population to recruit greek AOR).
Changed Population requirements for several units & factions.
Added several naval and land units to the rosters of:
1) Syracuse (Hexaremes & Hexaremes com.).
2) Sparta (Hexaremes & Hexaremes com., Trophimoi com.).
3) Athens (Athenian Elite Cavalry com.)
4) Pontus (Persian Levy Pikes).
5) Daco-Thracian factions (Tiremes com.).
6) Odryssian kingdom (Thracian axemen, Klerouchoi pikemen & Pezhetairoi pikemen).
7) Persian factions (Scythed Chariots).
8) Galatia (Galatian Thorax Infantry com.)
Changed custom battle lineup for several faction.
Nisean cavalry renamed Mercenary Cataphracts (Nisean Horses are not from Nisa in Parthia, but from the town of Nisaia near Ektabana!) & made into a shock cavalry unit (given lances instead of spears).
Decreased the armor of early roman hastati and greek chalkaspides to match similiar units of other factions with same cultural background.
Added melee bonus vs infantry for all regular pike infatry (not agema/peltastai).
Increased the Stamina of several Spartan units, AOR units and some others.
Increased the Speed of Spartan Thorax Infantry to make up for the lack of armor.
Decreased the number of men in the Antigonid cavalry commanders unit (early=150, late=180).
Fixed the missing range and dmg of cretan bows (150->185).
Fixed the overlapping mercenary recruitment areas in the south aegean sea & sea of crete(?).
Added Resistance to Cold to all germanic, brittanic & scythian units, also incl. alpine & caucasian units. Removed for the rest.
Added Resistance to Heat to all indian, persian, arab & african units. Removed for the rest.
Added Expert Charge defense to spearmen_impetuous and spearmen_impetuous_cold attribute group (eg. Galatian & Suebi Naked Spearmen).
Changed the attribute_group for Persian and Bactrian Archer Spearmen from missile_infatry_warm to spear_infantry_formed_warm.
All Meroitic missile infantry given the stalk ability (Some of these units might already have the ability in DEI).
Increased the number of men in the Dii falxmen unit (200->300).
Tweaked the stats of multiple unit. Too many to list all of them
Building Changes:
Added Strategic port building chains (ala. Alexandria, Massalia etc.) for the Syracuse & Athens regions, with custom names and descriptions.
Uses a custom version of the Cultural Tensio mod by joysong (integrated into @dei_cultural_tension_custom_dei_127.pack).
1) Added cultural conversion bonus for the new strategic port building chains.
2) Decreased the cultural conversion bonus for the Getaean factional fortification building chain.
Enabled the recruitment of Antigonid White-Shield Infantry from barracks.
Replaced the Hieron ton Megalon Theon for the Pontus with the Syracusan Altar to Zeus, now named Altar to Zeus-Stratios.
Added the Athenian Acropolis to the Rhodes faction & Bosphoran Prytaneion to the Athens and Rhodes factions.
Added barracks to the regions of Taras & Amasia, and upgraded the port of Apollonia to a Fishing Port.
Fixed the names and descriptions of the Bibracte ancient capital building chain.
Doubled the hellenic cultural conversion bonus for the Alexandria ancient capital building chain (4->8 at tier 4) for civilized factions.
Provincial changes:
Changed the local traditions of the provinces of Sicily and Italy (Magna Greacia) so they start out with a Greek cultural majority. This should give Epirus and Syracuse a few turns (20 or so) to expand before they lose the cultural majority.
CAI Changes:
Uses a custom version of the Age of Hellenism mod by ~Seleukos.I.Nikator~ (integrated into @age_of_hellenism_v_1_3_custom_dei_127.pack)
1) Removed new seleucid edicts introduced by AoH.
2) Changed the names of several cities, namely Kyzikos to Nicaea (Royal capital of Bithynia before the founding of Nicomedia).
Future plans:
Reintegrate Meroitic unique building chain (Nubian pyramids) & animal husbandry building chain (cattle) for african factions.
